While on tour this summer with My Chemical Romance, Blink 182 is scheduled to drop their long-awaited new album! Rumor has it that the band has a July 31st deadline to get the record in to their label. With the album mostly completed, the band plan on testing out their new material on the road. Wondering when Blink 182 will play in the US again? After a massive tour in 2009 Blink 182 has largely been absent from the music scene…until now. Blink 182 will be one of the headliners for the upcoming Epicenter 2010 Festival brought to you by KRQ and Rock on the Range in Fontana, California this September. Some may call the lineup odd, but we like to call it eclectic. Joining Blink will be Kiss, Eminem, Rise Against, Pap Roach and a few other big players in the biz. Some thought that the Blink 182 tour was just a temporary reunion. Some thought that this would be their last chance to see a Blink 182 concert but the news is out, a new Blink 182 Album is in the works. The band plans to take over the studio in January 2010 and may release an album after a European tour in 2010.
According to a tweet from Mark Hoppus:
“listening to demos. might produce a few things before blink-182 goes into the studio in january.”
So we’re expecting to see a Blink 182 tour to support their new album in late 2010, but keep checking back, we’ll keep you up to date with all the latest Blink 182 news!
